VoIP- Telephonic Technique Provide Cheap Calls

VoIP is used today a lot and it is increasing in its popularity day by day. VoIP is the advanced communication technique used to communicate through the internet. VoIP Service is being used worldwide to make calls using the internet. It stands for voice over internet protocol and as its name it uses standard internet protocol to transfer the voice over internet.


VoIP is used in various areas now like business, home, organizations, etc. It is most suitable for small business as it does not require any huge investment.  VoIP have several advantages and disadvantages associated with it.

There are many advantages of VoIP and we have some of these advantages here.

1.    Cheap calls: This is the main advantage provided by VoIP that caused it to be so popular. VoIP is the telephonic technique which provides very cheap call rates than any other technique. Some time the call cost is reduced to zero i.e., it provides free calls.

2.    Calls through internet: It enables the users to make calls through the internet.

3.    Voice Clarity: In this technique the calls are made using internet so the connection is fast and the voice is clearer. The one more advantage is that the telephonic problems like network problem, etc are not present here.

Along with these advantages VoIP may have some disadvantages also as below:

1.    Security problem: To use VoIP is less secure because it uses the internet connection so the security problems like virus attacks are a disadvantage here.

2.    Power problem: VoIP technique uses power as its main source so without power the VoIP is useless.

So as we saw the advantages and disadvantages of VoIP phones and we can say that there are some problems with VoIP, but the advantages provided makes it a very important technique.
